Certain Windows user accounts receive a “no license” error

When SwiftView is installed on a PC with multiple local user accounts, some accounts may receive a licensing error when launching the program.

When SwiftView is installed, two configuration files are created : one global-level and one at the user’s level. This means that when other user profiles attempt to launch SwiftView, their configuration file is incomplete and will throw an error.

To Resolve This Issue:

  1. In the admin profile, open the sview.ini file located at C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming
  2. Copy the entire “product=” line
  3. Open the global-level ini file located at C:\Program Files (x86)\SwiftView
  4. Paste the copied “product=” line under [SwiftView]
  5. Save the .ini file
