How to find your PC or LAN file server’s hostname

Some SwiftView licenses are tied to your PC’s hostname. To find your PC’s hostname in Windows, open the command prompt by clicking on the start button, entering CMD into the search bar and opening cmd.exe. Then type hostname into the command prompt and press enter.

On a Linux machine, use the command uname -n

The same commands can be used to find the hostname of your LAN file server.
