SwiftView Version 5.2.1 Release Notes 7/24/2000 Summary of New SwiftView features: There is a hard limit to the string length when translating SwiftView text strings for another native language. For short strings, the limit was an additional 5 characters - this minimum added string length is now 40. Added a command to disable printing and plotting. Added a command to disable the automatic lpage 1 with an onpage command. Added Roman 8 and Latin1 stroke glyphs to HPGL fonts. Previously the stroke font was limited to the ASCII character set, now it has glyphs in the 128-255 character range for both the Latin 1 and Roman 8 symbol sets. Major Bug Fixes: sview did not select it's native langaged based on the Windows locale setting. Page counting was very slow in big zipped PCL files. pcl pagesize caused a crash unless a file was ldoced first. Automarkup highlighting was wrong for PCL landscape. Multiple reuse of one macro id was failing. Known New Problems: None. Details of New SwiftView features: New commands: set output enable|disable The default is enable. A false value disables all printing, plotting, and save output ("plot ..." and "save ..." commands), putting up a message instead: "printing or saving this document is not allowed." Note that print buttons or key assignments are not changed (i.e. give the message above when pressed). These can be completely deactivated using separate ICS commands. This command is new in version 5.2.1. onpage use ... lpage on|off By default, onpage use ... causes an immediate lpage 1 command to be issued if page 1 is being defined. If the "lpage off" option is given, this operation is disabled.
