Enable debug mode

  1. Click the Start button
  2. Right-click on Computer
  3. Select Properties from the menu
  4. Click on Advanced System Settings

  5. Click on the Advanced tab
  6. Click the Environment Variables button

  7. Add the first new variable by clicking the New button under System Variables:
    • Variable Name: NDGDBUG
    • Variable Value: 1
  8. Add a second system variable:
    • Variable Name: NDGDBUG_FILE
    • Variable Value: c:\test\debug.log (or whatever location/name you’d like to specify)
  9. To disable debug mode, change the NDGDBUG value to 0

The output path for the log is specified in the NDGDBUG_FILE variable value. Ensure the directory it is pointing to exists, or no log will be created.
