Xplor - ATLANTA, Ga. – October 27, 2003 – SwiftView, Inc., today announced the addition of SwiftReprint™ to
SwiftView's line of management tools. SwiftReprint quickly creates accurate, portable electronic documents from
existing PCL files and reprints parts of large print jobs. SwiftReprint will be released in December.
SwiftReprint lets document authors, printers, and recipients avoid time-consuming transmission and printing of entire
print files by:
- Reprinting selected pages - ideal if a large print file jams - including previewing to search for
the desired pages
- Reviewing all or part of a document, adding markups
- Sending or resending all or part of a document, in compact format, to anyone, anywhere to view,
print, or review
- Reducing large files by creating new PCL files from subsets of the pages
SwiftReprint is a Windows user interface that integrates features of SwiftView's SwiftExtract and SwiftStamp batch
utilities. SwiftReprint maintains a document's print-perfect appearance, zips the document for efficient delivery,
and adds a SwiftStamp license that lets anyone view, search and print for free with SwiftView.
"SwiftReprint is our response to customers who want an easier-to-use tool for interactively extracting pages, a function
already proven critical to companies that use our SwiftExtract product," said Randy Prakken, co-founder and VP, products
and operations for SwiftView. "PCL is the ubiquitous printer format for over 100 million office printers. SwiftReprint
and PCL help businesses reduce waste when reprinting, and facilitate accurate electronic document creation and delivery."
"SwiftView is a great way to preview pages for reprint operations," said Jason Waggoner, president of NearStar, Inc.,
in Xplor Booth #1611.
