Do It Yourself SwiftView Installation Kit

Welcome Developers!
This is source code to borrow to install SwiftView from your own website. A single click of the button below installs on a variety of Windows browsers after you customize it to point to your installer.

This page supports Windows Netscape 6 & 7, Mozilla, FireFox and Internet Explorer. We no longer support Netscape 4.x SmartUpdate, but you can contact technical support for jar files if that is important to you.

How it works:

For Internet Explorer, we use an ActiveX object on a web page that invokes a .cab file.
For Netscape / Mozilla / Firefox, we use a javascript InstallTrigger that invokes an .xpi file.

Why does Firefox say "Signing could not be verified" when I try to install?
Firefox had a bug in which it failed to recognize properly signed files. Upgrade to a newer version of Firefox to avoid this problem (and others!).

Clicking the button on this page will install the SwiftView ActiveX on IE or the SwiftView plug-in on Netscape / Mozilla / Firefox.
